About UsThe International Society for Aerosols in Medicine (ISAM)Our MissionThe mission of the society is to promote and advance aerosol science internationally, focused on health effects of inhaled aerosols including inhaled drug delivery for prevention and treatment of human disease. Our PurposeWe prioritize research, education, and advocacy across all areas of international aerosol medicine and pulmonary drug delivery. Our activities include organizing global scientific congresses and symposia, fostering a research network to encourage international collaboration, and supporting the publication of new research through our journal and webinars. We also collaborate with partner societies worldwide.  Who we areWe are a non-profit organization with a membership of 250 professionals from various disciplines connected to aerosol science and lung health. Our members include physicians, physicists, biologists, pharmacologists, respiratory care practitioners,
engineers, and other experts.
ISAM also fosters and supports promising new researchers and recognizes outstanding, long-standing achievements through a comprehensive awards program. The Journal is a forum for leading experts, addressing novel topics such as aerosolized chemotherapy, aerosolized vaccines, methods to determine toxicities, and delivery of aerosolized drugs in the intubated patient.
