Bernhard Müllinger is the General Manager and Chief Operating Officer at Resyca BV, a joint venture between Bespak and Medspray. Resyca offers innovative soft mist inhalers and soft nasal spray solutions for drug-device combination products.

With 30 years of experience in drug-device combination products, Bernhard specializes in aerosol delivery technologies, including soft mist inhalers, soft nasal sprays, and smart nebulizers. He has led interdisciplinary teams in the development of inhalation technologies, deposition modeling, aerosol delivery strategies, patient compliance solutions, and in vitro testing. His clinical research spans asthma, pulmonary hypertension, vaccination, influenza, cystic fibrosis, and COPD, working with small molecules, peptides, and proteins.

Bernhard began his career in 1995 at Helmholtz-Zentrum Munich under Prof. Joachim Heyder, focusing on particle deposition and environmental aerosol research. He later joined Asklepios Clinics to develop pulmonary diagnostic technologies. In 2000, he partnered with Dr. Gerhard Scheuch to establish a respiratory specialty CRO and a drug/device development company, leading to successful products and multiple spin-offs.

A dedicated ISAM member since 2002, Bernhard values the society’s interdisciplinary approach and strong network. As treasurer and website manager, he works to enhance connectivity, streamline membership management, and improve webinar and convention organization. His goal is to expand ISAM’s visibility among industry, clinicians, and researchers, ensuring long-term financial stability while driving innovation in aerosol medicine.
