Presented by
Stephanie Langel
- Stephanie Langel is a Medical Instructor and faculty member in the Department of Surgery and Center for Human Systems Immunology at Duke University’s Medical School.
- Her lab studies mucosal immunity to viral infections and vaccines with the goal of identifying correlates of immune protection against infection and transmission.
- Recently she collaborated with aerosol scientists at Lovelace Biomedical to better understand aerosol transmission of SARS-CoV-2 in the presence of antiviral immunity at the mucosal surface.
Webinar Topic:
-
Discussion of mucosal vaccination strategies for reducing aerosol transmission of SARS-CoV-2.
-
Discussion of ways to detect antibody-virus complexes in aerosol samples.
